Cycling towards sustainability

Sarah, an Offroad Endurance Cyclist, trail runner, chef, and gardener, has dedicated over 25 years to the world of cycling. With a love for the ride and a competitive spirit, she has achieved significant success in 24 Hour Solo racing, 100-mile Marathon cross country racing, and multi-day bikepacking races, both domestically and internationally. Sarah's journey includes a background in off-road triathlon and Adventure Racing, leading her to develop a newfound passion for trail running and Ultra racing. As she looks forward to a full year of challenges in 2024, both on the bike and on foot, Sarah expresses her excitement to represent Liftow in her pursuits. Grateful for the opportunity to be part of the team, she eagerly anticipates the adventures and accomplishments that lie ahead, thanking Liftow for including her in their endeavors.

Alex Gies, 14-year-old competitive cyclist. Alex trains and races with the KW Cycling Academy. His favourite discipline is track cycling and he spends a lot of time honing his skills at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario, and the Forest City Velodrome in London, Ontario. He loves the thrill of racing around the banked track, and the challenge of racing tactically difficult races. He also has a lot of fun mountain biking and is excited to compete in both mountain bike and road races this summer. When he’s not cruising around on two wheels, he spends his time with his friends, playing with his dog and travelling with his family.

In 2020, Roy committed to a healthier lifestyle, embracing cycling as his primary outdoor exercise during the pandemic. Joining the Pinoy Pedal Pushers cycling group, he transitioned from a mountain biker to a gravel grinder and road cyclist, deepening his passion for the sport. Throughout 2023, Roy intensified his cycling involvement, incorporating strength training, volleyball, dog walks, and running for a duathlon event. His journey in cycling has fostered lasting friendships, participation in fundraisers, charity events, and various races. Roy's dedication serves as inspiration for others, echoing the impact experienced riders had on him. Louis-Jerome, a father of three, competes at the highest level of cycling. Starting as a road cyclist, he transitioned to triathlons, competing globally in Ironman events while working as a sales manager for major bike brands. Exploring disciplines like Cyclocross, he now focuses on gravel racing and road events, embracing the cycling lifestyle mantra. As part of the Liftow sales team, Louis-Jerome proudly represents the company's culture and philosophy with customers and the cycling community.
